Hemlock hills

Beneath the ashen hemlock hills
of my mourning’s despair.

Swirling subtlety, gentle whispers
of their eternal song.

In voices that carry no sound,
with words only for dying ears.

The call of a place faults are not kept, and guilt does not exist.

For the hour is early, but the time
is already so very late.
